Race life

#racelife has been in full swing for many RCTCers!!!!  A big shout out to all of our youth members who are making their way on the race scene and the podium!  Many placed at our local Thomasville Youth  Triathlon. Congratulations goes to: Andrew Bennett, first place in AG 10-12; Mallory Bennett, first place in AG 13-15;  Christian Stewart, first place in AG; Jesse Stewart, 2nd in AG; Charlotte Harrison, first in AG; Jay Harrison, 4th in AG, AND an extra shout out to the Harrison triathletes for completing all three races in the YTS summer series even in the midst of Hurricane Hermine!

Awesome job to Rosalie White for taking 2nd in AG at the Georgia Peach Women’s triathlon!  Susan Bennett has been busy! πŸ˜€ Congratulations for taking 2nd Overall Female at the Real Estate Agents in Need 5K AND for completing her very first HIM, Augusta 70.3 in under her goal with a time of 6:58:20!  Training pays off!

We had several other members complete the Augusta 70.3 race!  We are happy to say we made it and didn’t die from heat exhaustion!!!!  Big shout out to Joy Knop for completing her very first 70.3 race in the blistering heat.  A PR in and of itself! Additional congrats goes to Lance Parker, Katina Stewart, and Billy Webb!  I will reiterate……we didn’t die!!!  Yes, that is a big deal!πŸ‘πŸ»β€οΈπŸ˜€ Prinsloo family, I know you were there, so where is your race form???πŸ™ƒ Congratulations to you as well!

With respect to the 70.3 race, a huge “Well done” goes to Grady Smith for completing the World Championship in Mooloolaba, Australia!πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Kudos to Chris Stroh for taking 2nd place overall at the Tutus and Tennis Shoes 5K!  Well-deserved!πŸ‘πŸ»

And finally, to the strong, winged warriors who took on IM Chattanooga with a race distance of 144.6, and a heat index that was nearly the same!!!! 😳 What an awesome achievement just to be able to complete the race in such conditions with so many being taken off the course due to the unbearable heat!  Great job to Clayton Moss, Jo Curry, and especially to Paul Pickles, as it was his first full IM!  Paul completed it with a time of 15:39:40!πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Remember, keep those race reports coming!  First, you deserve the accolades, and because we can all help to encourage one another with our accomplishments!  We are stronger together!!!
